I find myself in the unenviable position of having to enter a homeless shelter soon. And in a word I am “terrified”. Yet I realize that most often fear stems from the unknown. I’m a disabled veteran able and eager to work with little or no accommodations required. Unfortunately transportation challenges have been my primary hurdle to securing sustainable employment. So for anyone willing I’m asking for personal experiences, suggestions, warnings, anything that might help with my mounting anxiety over entering the shelter. I believe there are two locations here in Saginaw to choose from. Is one any better or worse than the other? Pro/Cons to either? Is there a house rules guide available somewhere? Are meals served there? Is your personal property secure? What are the sleeping arrangements? Any help would be greatly appreciated. God provides and I know He will see my through this rough patch ahead. Thanks all and God bless.
