Technical Hardware Support Technician (Saginaw, MI) - Temporary
We're looking for a temporary Technical Hardware Support Technician for a 2-3 weeks on-site project in Saginaw, MI 5-8 hours a day., 2-3 days a week (tbd) This role is perfect for someone with a knack for hands-on hardware and a solid understanding of basic electronics. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver who can work independently. You will need to take a short 2-3 hour safety class and follow on-site rules at a construction site. You will may be asked to work an scissors lift and will have paid training to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
Install and configure hardware components and devices.
Diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues (e.g., checking power status, interpreting indicator lights, verifying connections).
Perform light electrical work, including splicing/connect 12V lines, connecting batteries (understanding positive/negative polarity), and using basic hand tools and multimeters.
Simple work with microSD cards, which would be limited to writing files/disk images to sd cards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Basic electrical knowledge: Must be comfortable with low-voltage DC circuits (12V), 12v batteries, basic connections/splicing of lines.
Hardware proficiency: Experience with installing and setting up various electronic and computer hardware.
Computer literacy: Familiarity with basic functions on a Windows or Linux or Mac laptop. Beyond that willing to learn a few things.
Technical aptitude: Ability to follow technical instructions, perform basic diagnostics, and troubleshoot common hardware problems.
Independent work ethic: Must be reliable and capable of working without constant supervision.
Location: On-site close to Saginaw, MI.
Duration: 5-8 hours a day 2-3 days a week for 2-3 weeks, flexible
Equipment: You have a laptop (Windows, Mac or Linux) with a microSD card slot, or one can be provided.
Compensation: $100/hr $500/day minimum
