Buy trade parts. New carburetor $ 350 bucks. Original 1962- motor block. Head gasket valve refinished 600 bucks. Water pump replaced 200 bucks or so antifreeze t stat. Mostly original stock. 60 or 70 k original stock miles owned since 2008 . Redo brakes 10 years ago probably 1000 miles on them everything. Originally has power boost brakes stock. You could purchase submit or another boost system and then have disk brakes convert. Original muffler rotted and cast manifold so had header’s installed $800 bucks and then replaced to side pipe chrome for $500 bucks had mechanic welded new pipe and labor $800 bucks or so. Tires was new several years ago. Original rims and caps. It obviously new. Car is solid could use restoration or drive replacement as you go yearly. I’m too poor for that. Car mostly complete as was when I purchased it is a 1962- mercury Monterey. 4 door. If you are a big man. Lots of room and you could install buckets currently has original bench. As the original owner driven . You could drive car home from here. It’s air conditioning is stock all there not current cold air. Big trunk locked gas cap. Some older parts and timing light for the car. New wires and cap rotor plugs. Sea foams for fuel for winter.
